8-SPEC is the brand new range from Stamford Cuemakers. Ash or maple is specially selected for grain, strength and feel to suit the needs of Chinese 8 Ball players.

 

Different characteristics are needed for a Chinese 8 ball cue when compared to snooker. The strength of the shaft is very important to ensure best cue ball reaction and power on the shot with the much heavier and larger balls. The cue also has a very specific taper to ensure low cue ball deflection and feel on the shot.

 

 

 

CUSTOM MADE

 

All shafts are selected for suitability to a given spec for Chinese 8 Ball. Every measurement is taken into account to ensure the selected shaft is perfectly suited to provide maximum playability.

 

Butt splicing is selected to compliment the shaft to provide a natural balance prior to any necessary weight being added.

 

The game-specific taper we apply to the cue is dictated by the spec. The length of the shaft is precisely measured whilst being worked so the final cue will have maximum reaction, power and feel with minimal cue ball deflection within the given spec. Standard parameters for a Chinese 8 Ball cue are largely the same as a snooker cue with the main difference being the larger tip size and the specific taper needed.
